Dave and Sandy had their sights set on Port St. Lucie as their new home but first had to sell their home in Texas. As a Realtor® it’s always a little stressful to coordinate a sale and purchase at the same time but we successfully pulled it off … of course there were quite a few bumps along the road.

On these buyer’s wish list was a POOL! If you’re going to relocate to sunny south Florida, you’ve got to have a pool, right? Also on the list of would-like-to-haves was a palm tree for Dave. Dave and Sandy needed something that was move-in ready with no major repairs because once they closed on their house in Texas they only had about 5 days until needing to move-in to their Florida home.

They came down in the beginning of April, we toured homes for one weekend, and found them a renovated home in a lovely neighborhood in Port St. Lucie.

It didn’t take too many homes to tour until they found the one they had to have. The house they made the offer on was built in 1981 and is CBS. It wasn’t a foreclosure or short sale so we didn’t have to negotiate too much on price and they paid what the seller was asking – $89,900. A three bedroom pool home in South Florida under $90,000 – nice! Plus this house was renovated – newer roof, new carpets, and fresh paint. The buyers had to get a washer, dryer, and refrigerator and were all set!

A big congratulations to Dave and Sandy for making their move. It was a joy to help them with the process and it’s always a happy day to close on a home in Port St. Lucie.
